About Chrissie
Chrissie became the Communications Director in 2025, and while she may be new to the staff, she has been part of our church family for most of her life. She is married to Wes, and together they have five wonderful children. Chrissie loves spending time at home—working on, expanding, or dreaming up new projects for their homestead. And when she’s not at church or knee-deep in a new homesteading adventure, you can usually find her out on a trail somewhere, hiking alongside Wes.
Where were you born?
Dayton, OH
When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was little, I wanted to be a doctor, but turns out I hate blood, so the medical field was a hard pass for me.
What are two things nobody would guess about you?
1. I cannot ride a bike! I can crash a bike. I can fall off of a bike. But I can’t keep it up and moving forward.
2. I turn the radio ALL the way up when I am alone in the car.
What are three things you cannot live without?
My family.
Quiet times at home.
Hikes with Wes.
What is some of your favorite music?
I love all things Reba.
What is one of your guilty pleasures?
Dark chocolate.
What is your favorite place to eat?
At home! I feel most satisfied when I sit down to a meal made from food I’ve grown in my own backyard—planted, harvested, and prepared with my own hands for the people gathered at my table!
